Lawrence Kahlden is the President and CEO of La Familia Pawn and Jewelry. Prior to joining La Familia, he served as the Chief Operating Officer for Value Pawn and Jewelry, where he oversaw more than 60 stores nationwide and helped grow the company to the largest privately owned pawn chain in the United States. Upon Value’s purchase by EZ Pawn in 2009, Lawrence served as the Vice President of Operations for a short time before establishing his own pawn business in Tampa, Quick Cash Pawn. Read more

Wilton A. Whitcomb is a Co-Founder and CFO of La Familia Pawn and Jewelry. In this position, Whitcomb is responsible for all financial, treasury and IT functions. He assumes the key decision-making role in the development of the company’s short- and long-term strategic operating objectives. Prior to his current position, Whitcomb served as the Chief Financial Officer of Value Financial Services, Inc. for 10 years. While at Value, he helped grow the chain of pawn shops to largest privately held chain in the United States. Andres D. Gonzalez is the Operations General Manager of La Familia Casa de Empeño. In this position, Gonzalez is responsible for marketing plan development, overseeing store openings and monitoring individual store growth. Gonzalez was previously the manager of a Value Pawn and Jewelry branch, where he supervised the chain’s first store ever to reach $500,000 in loan balances, earning him the award of “Manager of the Year” in 2006. During his tenure as regional manager, he was credited for achieving record numbers in loans, sales and customer growth.Read more
